Copying files and playlists to Archos Jukebox Studio 20

Hi everyone,

does anyone know of a quick way to copy all MP3's in a playlist to the Archos Jukebox Studio 20, and also copy the playlist and change it so the paths are correct for the Jukebox file system? The Jukebox registers as a normal drive in My Computer, and I can copy files to it via Explorer. But playlists don't make any sense because the full path is stored in them. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Marco

Try dragging the playlist into Jukebox Studio. I'm not familiar with the program, so there is a slight chance I'm wrong. Ok more that slight, but you get the picture. What exactly does Jukebox Studio do?

Jukebox is a portable MP3 player with a 20 GB hard disk inside. It connects to the PC via a USB cable and registers as another drive under My Computer. Get the picture?

There is definately a way because I found this on a site:

The manual is full of spelling mistakes and errors, but its not THAT bad once you sit down and read it. Being able just to drag and drop files using Windows Explorer is a breath of fresh air compared to the Nomad's buggy Playcenter program. The Archos is full of neat features such as on-the-fly MP3 encoding (analogue or digital). It won't randomly shuffle files in different folders but I overcome that by making a new playlist daily to fit my mood. (naming it Today's Playlist). The MusicMatch program [stinks] but I use Winamp to make my playlists and its much easier than MusicMatch.

Maybe it's in the manual. Also check to see if they have a site. Usually, they will have a support forum or other way of getting direct support from them.

Hope that helped.

Thanks! Yes, I, of course, know about dragging and dropping files onto it. The real problem I am having is with playlists (and now it comes down to a Winamp question): How do you make it save only file names, or relative paths, in the m3u playlists?
I didn't find anything in the Winamp play list editor yet...

Thanks,
Marco
