Two questiobs about the Shoutcast streaming program.
1. How do I do to run this program in the background?
2. I want to play my own mp3 files while streaming other ones to the radio station server. Is this possible? I don't always feel like listening to the song beeing streamed at the moment but the ones which I like myself. My english may be a bit incorrect in some places, wrote this in a hasty.

1. Do you want to (a) run the DNAS or (b) run the Winamp/DSP combo in the background (that is, minimize the DSP)?
If (a), check out the results from a SHOUTcast forum search on 'install windows service'. Look for a post by antiorganic titled: NT Service Note: Other search criteria may yield more results. If (b), you can't minimize the DSP. You can, though, drag the DSP to the edge of your screen so only a sliver is visible. 2. Use multiple instances of Winamp and use the Null Output Plugin* on the Winamp with your stream. * With Winamp the Active application, CTRL+P -> Plugin-ins -> Output If it's not there, get it at http://classic.winamp.com and search the plug-ins for "Null output" (without the quotes). |

No, if I play a song and then want to play another one at the same time, it just ends the first one and starts playing the second one.

Once you've checked the multiple instances, you have to then open another instance.
That is, run Winamp twice. |
