Soundcard Input Problems -- Mixer Levels Checked
Hi, I've become very frustrated over what I hope is a small oversite.
I am trying to use Shoutcast to broadcast a DJ mix from my turntable mixing board. I have my mixer plugged into my soundcard and I can hear the music just fine on my computer, but I can't broadcast it over shoutcast with the Soundcard Input option. I *do* hear the turntables in my computer speakers -- the just wont broadcast through shoutcast. I *can* broadcast mp3s from winamp when I switch from soundcard to winamp input option. I've checked my mixing levels. I've turned every level up in both my playback and record modes. I've tried checking both "what you hear" and my "SPDIF?Aux 2" channels. (My mixer is plugged into the spdif/aux2 slot). Using my soundcard's recording device, I can record a mix and save it to my computer. I can play this file from winamp and have people hear it over shoutcast, but I want to be able to broadcast live. I have absolutely no idea what I am doing wrong. I've done an extensive search of the forums, but cannot find my answers. Please help! I use: Windows 98 Creative Soundblaster Live Platinum 5.1 Mixer RCA outputs hooked up to the SPDIF-in/Aux 2 Winamp 2.91 Shoutcast DSP Plugin Shoutcast GUI (which I assume is configured correctly since I *can* broadcast mp3s) Thanks in advance for any info! I tried to post a screenshot of my mixer levels, but it said the file was too large. If you have an email address or AIM name I can send the file to you that way, but I assure you all of the levels are turned up and working. -Greg |
