To my knowledge no vocal remover component has been developed for Winamp3 yet. You can try using a Winamp 2x plug-in, such as this Vocal Remover, or the AnalogX Vocal Remover for Winamp2 in conjunction with, and after having first installed, the Winamp 2x Plugin Manager.

The following procedure will definitely work for you. I have already tested it.

The AnalogX Vocal Remover will work in Winamp3. But it's NOT perfect. No vocal remover ever is. The vocals are not completely removed in most cases, but they are low enough so that you can barely hear them.

Anyway, here's what you need to do, to get it to work in Winamp3...

1. Close Winamp3
2. Download/install the Winamp 2x Plugin Manager into Winamp3
3. Download/install the AnalogX Vocal Remover (Winamp)
4. Open Winamp3
5. Press CTRL+P to open preferences window
6. Scroll down to "Winamp 2x Plugins"
7. In the right column, select the "DSP Plugins" tab
8. Highlight the "AnalogX Vocal Remover" plugin listed there

You will now see a "Mix" vertical slidebar, with 0% as the default value and the slider at that position. You can move the slider up to as much as 100%, to try and "completely" remove the voice in the song.

*Note: If you do not also have Classic Winamp 2.x installed as well as Winamp3 (as many of us do - many of us have both players installed), and the AnalogX installer asks to install itself into the "Plugins" folder, and you see that there is no "Plugins" folder listed as a sub-folder under the Winamp3 main folder, then CREATE that "Plugins" folder yourself. If you already have Classic Winamp 2.x installed, there is no need to create a Plugins folder in Winamp3, since a Plugins folder exists by default in Winamp 2.x, and AnalogX will install itself there, to also be referenced by Winamp3.

Don't email or PM me concerning Winamp. Instead, either start a NEW TOPIC or post a REPLY in the appropriate thread in these forums.
