Dont get pissy. You will lose any help that is offered in here by a number of people.

Have you properly configured your mixers?

ya i got lost here

Click the Mixer or Open Mixer button and this should open both the Recording Mixer and the Playback Mixer (you will most likely need to move one of them to see the other).
In the Recording Mixer select "What U Hear" / "System Mixer" / "Stereo Mixer" (the name on this varies, it may be one or none of those)
In the Playback Mixer make sure the Microphone is NOT muted.
When you press the "Talk" button in the DSP the Microphone volume in the Playback Mixer should increase and the Wave volume should decrease. When you let go of the button the volumes should return to their previous settings.

when i press open mixer is just gives me volume controls, none for muting the mic or any of this In the Recording Mixer select "What U Hear" / "System Mixer" / "Stereo Mixer". dunno

K...in the mixer controls...go to advanced and see if What you hear or the others mentioned are there in the recording control panel.

You may have to check them first.

With the Winap DSP, click the Input tab. Click the Open Mixer button. On the recording control panel, go options..properties.

A window will open with a list of controls to add or subtract from the recording panel.

If you see "What U Hear" or "System Mixer" or "Stereo Mixer", check it.

This will be what you need to use. Make sure it is the one selected and not the mic in the recording control panel.

You have to play with that to get the best volume. All soundcards are different.

On my machine with my Fortissimo, it is only at 1/4 volume. On my machine with a SoundBlaster Live, I have it at full.

You will have to watch your level meters and make sure that it max's no more than -4 to -2.
