problem with LAN

i have a computer that runs its internet through a LAN connection 10 m/bits, and the router is ADSL, yet if i put the server on my computer, the music breaks often, and disconnects the listener after around 60 seconds.

Then i tried to put the server on a different computer that was not hooked up to the LAN, but was connected to the ADSL modem through a USB cable. Yet whenever i did that, the server computer did not recognize my computer and gave the message

could someone help me with this please, i looked throughout the forums to find a solution, but didnt find any...
