you can also try downloading older soundblaster live drivers. The problem is a smaller recording buffer in the latest drivers. I assume they are trying to lower latency -- unfortunatly shoutcast DSP also has a very small buffer (for the same reason) and they don't get along.

The older live drive package had a larger buffer -- this worked for me. The KX drivers allow you to adjust the buffer along with many other things creative hides from you.
