Possibly one of the more unique questions!
Ok here goes. And please pardon my puncuation and spelling, I am tired from work and don't feel like trying to sound like a rocket scientist... My situation is a strange one. I have 2 computers. My old one, which is online and my new one which isnt. My old comp wont run the new winamp, it is too old and hateful. But this is my query: Is there a way to download skins and viz's on my old comp and transferring it to my new comp? I can obviously download and burn the exe file, i have the new winamp on my new comp. But when I try to d-load skins, I get an error message saying some bunk about "cant find temporary int. files/ content ie5/ blah blah blah. I understand the skins auto install. So how can I get new skins and stuff to my new comp. By the way, I love Winamp, I have been using it for over 5 yrs, It is my player of choice by far! I have several awesome avs viz's, I have been tweaking and re-tweaking them, I have wanted to share them but never could get the packager to work well...Oh well thats another post for another time. Thanx for listening to me whine...lol

Choose Save instead of Run (or right-click on the download link and choose Save Target* As).
When you double-click on the downloaded skins they'll 'self-install' (actually they get opened with/copied into the skins dir by Winamp) or you can just copy them all at once into winamp's skins directory. *I think that was it, haven't used IE in ages. |
