You're right. I've just tested it and the same problem also occurs in Real Player and Cool Edit. How can this be rectified? Who do I need to report this to at MS? Sorry, I only checked using Microsoft software previously and, of course, that worked fine.

I expect one way to rectify it would be to write a custom open file box from scratch, but I don't think it'd really be worth it. Do you really cut and paste from there that much?
Dunno how bug reporting at Microsoft works. And next time, be careful which button you click on. Looks like you hit the "Post a New Topic" button instead of the "Post a Reply" button. I only tend to use the open file box to move files around a lot within Winamp. When I'm playing new files I've just d/led, I find it easy to then move them to the proper folder before playing them, without having to open explorer etc.
