Send a message via AIM to Yami Kraden
"Could not initialize Application object."

I'm using Winamp v5.112

Whenever I try to tune into a internet radio station with Winamp using SHOUTcast Radio, I get to hear the music, but I get an error message.

The title of the dialogue box is Microsoft Internet Explorer
The actual message says, Sorry, could not initialize the Application object.

It only gives me the option to click OK and then it plays the music, and its annoying. Upgrading or installing did not help. Does anyone know how to stop this?

Update Winamp to ver 5.2

The error message is a result of SHOUTcast list info being tweaked for WA 5.2

Please do not PM me for tech support. Any request for tech support through PM will be ignored.

I have the same problem with Winamp 5.13
But the reccomendation to upgrade to 5.2 just won't work for me. I'm sorry to say, but the new online services doesn't fit for me. I just didn't like the new look\functionality of the online services in the 5.2 version.
I've used 5.112 before, and when I decided to upgrade, already was 5.2, so I've installed it, but after first use, I've downgraded to 5.13. It's doesn't feel good for me.
My computer is pretty old (P3, w/128mb), so this new version don't do any good for me.
Maybe after all there is another way to resolve the "Could not initialize Application object"?
What's the deal with IE, when I'm not even using it?

same here. The move to 5.2 meant rubbish refresh rates and hanging Winamp. Have reversed back to 5.13 which works lovely except for this naffing message.
I'd rather have the msg than the ropey update

Nope, it won't do any good.
I even tried to make Forefox browser to be my default one.. - Didn't help. I've also digged in IE preferences, nothing came up..

Pay attention that if you're "traveling" betwen the stations in your bookmarks, this message not pops up..

Are the folks at Nullsoft force us to move to 5.21??
