Can't playback MIDI

Somehow, I managed to hit a key which made me unable to hear the MIDI-playback. The music keeps going, but no sound! I've checked my Equalizer, which is just fine, but I really don't get what's going on.

Please help.

Double click the little speaker icon in the systray (tasktray) and make sure the SW Synth (or MIDI) volume is at a good level or mute is not checked.

1. Winamp Ctrl+P
2. Plug-ins > Input
3. double click 'Nullsoft MIDI player'
4. Device tab
5. in the 'Device:' dropdown box select another MIDI device. Maybe something that closely reflects your sound card or "Direct Music / Microsoft Synthesizer (with output)"
6. close out of prefs

From the Common Issues section of the Troubleshooters Sticky
No sound, skippy/choppy/crackly playback, high VM usage, etc.
Close & restart Winamp after the DirectSound tweaks. Although not necessary, you may want to close Winamp, Windows and restart the computer. Some users have found changes don't fully take effect until a reboot.
