This is one of the most unusual aircraft I've ever seen fly in and out of KGPT...

I think it's built on a modified P-3 airframe. At any rate, NASA uses it to transport big shtuff. Someone told me that they used this plane to transport the Apollo space capsules back in the late 60s and early 70s, but I don't know how true that is.And in case you're wondering what's inside... DSCF0346.jpg D'oh! It's the same T-38 that I posted on page 3. I'm sure they're transporting it back to the John C Stennis Space Center that's just west of here. |
