Somewhere between a long time and forever.

I used it when it came with the first betas , asked it to look at a directory of about 100 songs, took about 3 hours to finish, totaly gagged my CPU and for what? a small random playlist.

Groovy.

how long... how long's a piece of string. the results on analysis speeds vary immensely with that plugin and i'd say you're looking at a good day or more to do it (potentially a lot longer though in all honesty). on the whole though, processing takes an age

i'm noticing that the progress bar is pretty useless... it seems to slow down exponentially... a tad annoying

A few users on this forum dislike it.

I for one don't install it.

Ive seen about two people make comments about it that weren't outright negative.

It wants to consume 100% cpu for two weeks to analyse all my music. And all that work to just spit out a 20? track playlist thats random.

Id rather just queue up everything I have, hit shuffle, then play; thanks.

So how do you remove it without doing another install?

Delete plugins\ml_xpdxs.dll

nb. my main beef with it is that it uses 99% cpu whilst processing, which can take a fair few days or more with large databases.... and especially since this issue got fixed in v1.1/2 of the plugin, but then got broken again in v1.3/4, heh.

It doesn't remove the folder in Winamp\Plugins and the settings stored in the winamp.ini.

I recommend DrO's plugin for a clean uninstall.
