Drag n' drop in Playlist Editor

Actually I just like the plugin as it is, very much. I'm content, thus silent

But yeah, that issue probably needs solving... What about first removing the files, and then adding them at the new position? Dunno if that's feasible though...

Hmm, maybe it is. I'll have to think about it :P

This plug-in has evolved quite nicely and is still one of my favorets. My only suggestion is that you change or remove the "a" designation for the plug-in. I suggest this because it could lead one to belive that it is very unstable alpha version and deter some from trying it.

Well, I can start calling them 1.4.0.build instead.
The a and b is not alpha and beta...just to keep them apart.

Well, it doesn't work for me, too.

I start dragging one or many tracks in a winamp playlist.
After moving a bit the mouse pointer changes to the typical drag&copy-pointer.
However, after reaching the corner of the winamp windows, the mouse pointer changes to a little crossed out circle which I guess means dropping forbidden.

It's the same for folders the desktop or the Nero Window. Winamp just doesn't allow dragging across the borders of winamp...

Well, that would be Winamp v5.24 and Drag'n drop v 1.4b... I guess these are the newest available each.

Hmm, no? I run Winamp 5.3 and the newest is 1.4.0.4 which was released today

Though I don't see why 5.24 and 1.4b should cause any problems either really. Can you drag 'n drop from other programs to Nero and Explorer?

The plugin doesn't do anything really fancy...it just creates a drag 'n drop COM call and then Windows take over so it shouldn't work better (or worse) than any other drag 'n drop from any program.

I cant seem to get this plugin to work. It wont show up in the Preference->General plugins. Installed 1.4.0.4 and Winamp 5.3. I have windows 2003 x64. I can see the dll file is located in my program files (x86)\winamp\plugins folder along with the rest of the other default plugins.

I was thinking about making it a shareware plugin.

But I decided against it, didn't seem like a market for it. More likely will I just drop it.
When I get time, I'll release the final version.

If you want to make some bucks out of your plugins, I would choose for (part of) DL instead. I think DND is too small to ask money for.

But perhaps you're right and there's no market for it anyway. I guess most Winamp users are always looking to get things for free and have an aversion against shareware and the like.

Maybe you should get as much traffic through your site as possible (instead of linking to the winamp.com plugin page or an exe-download) to get users to see the donation buttons...

Sorry but it doesn't work anymore with actual WinAmp version. You plugin causes changing tag in playlist to tag of first song, when clicking on any other song.

I've removed the plugin from Winamp.com. Since I couldn't update I just get too much mails about it not working.

I don't know if the plugin will get anymore attention at all. The response from the "not working" is kinda large, but time is money nowadays. Without donations this plugins is scrapped. *cheap*

Well, it's not an official Winamp plugin and since I use the code in DL, the code is not free.

Drag n' Drop is the only reason I am able to use Winamp as well. I'm willing to donate, but I seriously doubt a few bucks from poor me would make it worth the continued work. But hey, if you keep it up, I'm there for ya.

Considering the amount of mails I am spammed with since dnd stopped working, there seems to be a lot of people using the plugin, but there has been like two people ever who donated. So maybe it's not just me who is cheap

I think they would rather just implement it themselves.
And they know it's around so I suppose they think it's better I offer it for free than pay me

I don't want to sound too pessimistic. It's just I have a few friends who make a lot of money on their web-projects and it made me tired making Winamp plugins which have a much larger user base for free...

But, for what it's worth, make good use of the plugin. It's there to use. I just don't feel like working more on it.
