Wrong order of the files transmited to my portable media player

I have an iriver s10 managed by winamp. It uses the order in which the files have been written to the memory of the device to play the files. I've seen that winamp doesn't sent the files to the device starting by the first song, so the album it's not played in the correct order of the songs. Could it be solved in some way? Thanks.

The file order in the transfer queue should depend on the track number (in stead of the title) in the tag.

The same order applies to both the folder and mp3 file order when playing music through the usb-port on my micro-stereo-system (denon rcd-m37). I can understand it is nearly impossible to control the folder order during upload, but the file order in the transfer queue should depend on the track number.

Does anyone has a clue how to force/set this?

you can't unfortunately change the order so really this is a wish rather than a bug report as the pmp support is working as it has been designed to work (i can't remember the exact reasoning behind why it is like it is). this is why people use plugins like gen_yar or as i ended up doing, writing my own file copier plugin to do the transfer in the order it's passed.

thx@DrO
The plugin works fine - winamp can even recognize all files and will not delete and re-upload files during later synchronization with the original play list (probably because it uses tag for comparison).

Edit:
in my case (where folders and mp3 files are read in write order), gen_yar completely replaces winamp's build-in sync functionality for portables ...stone-age recipe:
1. format usb-stick,
2. update winamp play list (remember to sort list correctly, in my case, by path and filename) and
3. do a complete save play list with gen_ya.
This must be repeated each time ... grrr ... can it really be true in 2009?

alas it's been requested (even by myself) to have the files transfered via the built-in pmp support in the order added and i'm not aware off any other viable implementation which works the same. there may be other plugins out there which do it but i've not come across any and i've just not the time now to work on my own plugin to do such a thing (since i've pretty much stopped using my phone/usb player for music).
