So if you have Winamp monitor some local folders, it'll autofind image files that are named similar to cover.jpg and folder.jpg, etc. to use for album art.

I was hoping an option could be added (or if it is felt it wouldn't bother too many people, default behavior alongside current) that would tell Winamp to use any-named image file if it's the only one alongside the music files as the album art. I'd propose this check would be last in the image file naming rules (which I think would be after folder.jpg).

What makes me think of this are the zips I download from URL submitted by user.. It has the MP3s, a couple text files, and the cover art that has a long verbose name. Granted I can just rename the file, but that seems unnecessary as it's the only image file in the folder.

I have my music laid out like: "artist\album\*.mp3" so if a folder has an image file alongside music, I would assume it's the cover art.

Thoughts?

i absolutely think this is a good idea, but for some reason devs seem against it.

i think it should simply go by a planned hierarchy, so "Folder.jpg" or whatever is first, and if it doesn't find anything that way, then use whatever artwork it finds, and if there's more than one, use the biggest KB one or highest resolution one, or whatever.

i have previously floated the idea that winamp should load misnamed images as well, but that also was shot down. (meaning, if a bmp has jpg on it, it should still work)
