I am interested to see if I can import Smart Views from my installation of Winamp before my Windows installation became corrupted. I would prefer not to have to rebuild all my Smart Views from scratch. I am using Winamp v5.5.6

I had to rebuild my windows installation and reinstall all my programs; however, I was able to recover all the files on my hard drive to a backup drive before I reinstalled windows and winamp on my hard drive.

A forum thread from 2006 mentioned that the gen_ml.ini file from C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins directory could be copied into a new installation to import the existing smart views; however, I cannot find a gen_ml.ini file anywhere on my drive. I found a gen_ml.dll file on my recovered files but copying that file to my new installation of Winamp did not recreate my old Smart Views.

Any ideas on how to recover my Smart Views?

Okay, I just figured it out. The instructions provided in the 2006 post are still correct; however, the gen_ml.ini file is a hidden file. I had to go to Windows Explorer: Tools/Folder Options/View and click: "Show hidden files and folders".
