toilet paper dispensing preference

Just curious which you feel is right. This has been an ongoing debate at work. Extra credit for posting your favorite brand of toilet paper.

I voted paper towards the wall, but I use Chev's method. As for brand: Charmin Ultra.

I could use one-ply, but I'd end up using twice the length...

I usually buy Scotts or Costco which is almost identical. The reason is that there is a lot more paper on the roll than the other brands. Changing the roll at least a third less is a good thing.

Just don't buy Clint Eastwood brand, it doesn't take shit off anybody.

As for preference for placement, I just stick it in there one way or the other. Did it really matter? Frankly, if someone would actually change the roll, instead of leaving it on the counter for me to do, I'd be happy.

Thinking about it, I do remember one commercial grade dispenser would spool TP out on the floor unless you did it like pic #1. Why the world needed a ball bearing driven bog roll dispenser?

Please watch the following toilet paper educational video:

If the dispenser is like the one pictured in the original post/poll, the second option (paper on the outside) because it's more convenient for the user.

If the dispenser is cheap (one that allows the roll to rest against or touch the wall) then the paper *must* be on the inside. When pulled, the roll will tear/rip if the paper isn't on the inside because the friction against the wall will pull the roll towards it, preventing smooth scrolling.

Result would be lots of shredded, ripped paper and partial squares on the floor and frustration on the part of the end user, not to mention the cleaning crew.

Anything but those single-ply recycled rolls.

#2, paper nearby the user.

Over the top every time, prevents it from sticking to the tiles after a shower steams them up.

Kleenex brand "Cottonelle" and a few of it's knockoffs are good because my ass deserves nothing less. Scott and others like it seems to be more abrasive yet more weak, falling apart where something really needs some integrity.
