just allmost started new topic but saw this one
changes according vp6vfw_release_notes.txt

- Fixed problem with missed key frames
- Fixed problem with Keyframes that were way too big in 2 pass mode
- Improved two-pass vbr by being more agressive with quantizers
- Improved best quality
- Improved quality in slow moving sharp scenes.

No problem, most General Discussion people won't even know what a video codec is , let alone what to do with it regarding Winamp.

How can you tell in winamp what version codec it is useing? I looked in my list of video codecs in my device manager and it lists VP6..but when i go into properties it does not tell me what version number it is.

I just tested VP6 new version.
It can not encode NSV.Done NSV frame is stoped.
It can not play.
I need somebody's more test.

Yes I have admin right.I tested just 3 clips and now back to 6.0.7.3
Anybody have same problem with new version?

probably it was created be my vp6 decoder, usually it's created when bitstream is not decoded from keyframe (remember green screen, or just weird moving blocks when seeking with my version vp6 decoder)

I have met the same problem, then encoded nsv video shows very slow in winamp 5. ((
