Cannot Connect
I'm new to using ShoutCast, and I have no interest in broadcasting my own music, I just want to listen, but each time I click "tune in" it tells me that I cannot connect. I'm running WinAmp 2.81 on a Win2K computer with a Linksys router. I tried uninstalling WinAmp, and now I'm getting an error saying that access to the specified path, device or file is denied. It's attempting to download to my temporary folder. I've searched the forums for an answer to this problem, but it seems that most of the questions involve people trying to connect in order to do their own broadcasts. Once again, I just want to listen.
Any help would be vastly appreciated. Thanks. EDIT: I just re-installed WinAmp, and now Shoutcast is working. I didn't delete this thread just in case somebody ever comes along with the same problem, they can hopefully use this message for help. Last edited by asdfghjkl; 30th September 2002 at 20:58. |
