Winamp Taskbar Question
Hey I was wondering If there is a way to disable the songs name from being displayed in the taskbar.
I was wondering this because I was writing a program that could control several Windows fuctions and was wanting to include winamp. But in order for me to be able to do it from Visual Basic I need the title in the taskbar to stay constant in order to use Winamp. I tried both versions of Winamp (Winamp 2 & 3) finding that both versions did not have a setting to disable it. If your not sure what I am talking about I have attached a gif image (in low quality for slower connections) showing the taskbar and displaying the name of the current song playing. (In version 2 & 3) Thank you for your time and effort fixing my dilemma. -Matt Wolfzorn |

hmmm, i dont see how you can change it bro, it might be something to put in the 'Winamp Wishlist' forum as a suggestion. still, you could always use something better than visual basic, but if you've already started than would be a pain eh [/bump] |

or in options, you can just set winamp to show up only in the system tray ad not in the taskbar

Yeah I already have all of the code done and I am adding different profiles to the software.
I guess I can try it with the system tray... |

I would have though that all you would have needed to control the window is the hWnd. "Welcome to the Island of people who know too much."..."Did you really think balloons would stop him?!" See what I'm listening too. |
