I have a linksys router in which i have forwared the ports 8000~8000, 8000~8001, 80~80, and 8001~8001

his happens for every port....what do i do? i have tried many ports and this happens every time when i change everything....and i am not using all of my ports....

ahhh yes...i did the "is it open??" check on radio toolbox and this was its results....
Is my port open?

More about this error: This essentially means that the port is open to the internet but has no services associated with it. There is no firewall protection on this port.

Set DestIP back to ANY. If the source is going to be within the LAN all you need to forward is port 8000 (TCP) to the computer on the LAN running the DNAS.

if ur usin a fileshare like kazaa i found you hav to shut it down to get the DNAS to work proper!

must use up port 8000! dunno

and i made an ip
i dunno if i was suppose todo this or not
but my new ip is sheefo2k.no-ip.com

no shouldn't be a problem much. If your running a firewall or router that may be your problem, notice keyword *may. NOt tottally positive though

So . . . now what? I filled out the Output tag with a bunch of stuff. Do I put my IP address in the Address area? I did that once, and it wouldn't connect. It's not my firewall, since I disabled it before trying to connect.

How do I get this junk to work?

The Server is waiting for you to send it a source. Thats all thats needed. Just fill out the correct info in the DSP and hit connect! Not that hard actually.

Check out your router documentation and/or router manufacturer website for port forwarding (aka virtual server) instructions.

Hi, and thank's in advance for any/all help you can offer.

Ive actually tried to set up a Shoutcast server in the past and got really aggravated with it and just left it sit. Well here I am again making further progress only to get stumped again .

Ive fowarded the port's on Zone Alarm & my Linksys Router (8000 and 8001 TCP AND UdP)(Also on my Windows XP Sp2 Firewall -which is actually turned OFF)
ScrIP and Dest Ip are both set to - ANY


On Winamp -

In the address bar Ive tried the following; 187radio.no-ip.info , localhost , 127.0.0.1, and own ip's(which were located on my connection status and also whatismyip.com)

And I still cannot connect . It will display "Connecting" than "Disconnected"


BUT----- When I change the ScrIP frum ANY to 127.0.0.1 I get a "Recieving Auth. Response" message on the Shoutcast plugin (on Winamp)


Any/All help is Greatly appericated (Im afraid if I cant figure this out I will be forced to kick my comp--even tho it wont help!)

I'm getting this error too. I have done everything suggested in the thread here and nothing works. I have the ports forwarded and nothing else uses the ports. I have tried forwarding ports used by applications that I don't even own, and using that port, but I still get the error.

did you use 127.0.0.1 or ANY in the SrcIP inside sc_serv.ini ???

you will get the error about another app using that port if you use the wrong source address.

and everyone! you need to follow the port forwarding instructions on http://www.portfordward.com to get port forwarding setup correctly

I don't know what this means.. I have done everything i can think of.. i have read numerous threads and I did the portforwarding thing on my netgear router. I don't really know what any of this means... but I am good at following directions. please help me.

you have another instance of dnas running. MAke sure you quit it before you start another one.

Also, what do you have your source and dest IP set to (should be ANY)?
