What do you put in for Shoutcast user? And what exactly does this do? I'm a little confused.

It's a "What's playing" tool, I believe. It's not working for me and I'm trying all I can..

Tell me if you figure it out.. I don't know anything about Java script, so I'm undoubtedly doing something wrong.

Hey Boys, it's easy like ABC.

First you have to register to the service for free!
If you done this, login with you mail address and password!

Okay, got this?

Next put in the following infos.

Username: your mail address
Password: your password you logged in with
Shoutcast User: your station name you use with shoutcast
Shoutcast Password: your password you use with shoutcast
Shoutcast ip: your IP address of your pc or a dyndns address
Shoutcast port: 8000 or your port of your stream to shoutcast

Easy so far?

Okay, your stream has to be on air!
Press Update!

If your infos are right you get a success info on the page.
If not, try again, but don't forget your stream must be on air befor you press update!

Next step.

Choose a script from the page like this one for java:

<script src="http://www.boelpaep.be/gateway.php?type=f_tikker&id=sebastien@pi.be&width=300&height=14&text=FFFFFF&background=E6E6E6"></script>

or for flash:

<script src="http://www.boelpaep.be/gateway.php?type=f_flash_title&id=sebastien@pi.be&background=FFFFFF"></script>

change the sebastien@pi.be address to your own mail address and put the script on your homepage.

That's it.

Please excuse my bad or wrong english, cause this is not my main language.

It keeps telling me that there is no server there.

No server running on that ip[24.164.67.45:8000] or port|server is down/protected by firewall

I don't know the whole story here, but as a general caution please be aware that giving your DNAS password out may not be a "Good Thing".

The one thing that got me was entering the email correctly in the script:

ex:

<script src="http://www.boelpaep.be/gateway.php?type=f_flash_title&id=YOUREMAIL@YOURPROVIDER.WHATEVER&background=FFFFFF"></script>

Nope.. it has nothing to do with the email provider.. The only reason it asks for you email in the script is so it knows who's server information to look up. I tried the radio link on your site and the radio doesn't seem to be working.. that would be why you're having troubles..

I would gladly help you out with that in the SHOUTcast Technical Support forums.

PS: I was wondering why my song information was coming up on your site! hahaha

I suggest that this be added to the SHOUTcast Toolbox, if possible.. it's a very easy and handy tool once figured out.

FINALLY! It's now working! It must of been my IIS, I disabled it earlier this day, and now this works. It must of been causing port conflicts or something. Woo hoo!

Ok, I got a few of the codes to work. The only ones I can't get to work are the 'Current Listeners' and the 'Status' code. I have the last 5 songs as the 'Reported Listeners' codes working. Also, is there a difference between the 'Current Listeners' and the 'Reported Listeners'?
