5.02 is excellent .

Glad to see that Nullsoft is improving what is already there before innovating much further, though I can't wait to see what will happen when they take the next step forward. Maybe they'll really plow through the major requests in the wishlist?

AMAZING! Thanks for 5.02

I just wanted to THANK everyone associated with WinAmp for this excellent 5.02 release. I am so happy with the Native M4A/MP4 file playback support! The MPEG 4 Audio Encoding support in the pro version is wonderful also.

With this new support in WinAmp of M4A/MP4 file playback you have made a lot WinAmp users who also have Apple iTunes/iPods very happy

Compatability between media players is a good thing.

You guys are great! Keep up the good work!

Official/final. 5.02 is out of beta.

"1. what is the difference between FULL and PRO ???
2. farewell justin ???"

1. With Pro, you get unlimited burning and ripping of CDs in mp3/acc for $15.
2. Justin resigned from AOL/Nullsoft

it's just from the code for you to be able to register your copy of 5.02 as a Winamp Pro 5.02 ..that and everything else that Pro allows you to do .. ie faster cd ripping and burning

as I've stated in the color themes thread if you run Forum Themes Collection.xml(located in C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins\ColorThemes\Winamp Modern) in the xml validator in frontpage it works fine .. it did for me .. if a Mod could prove this for me I'd really appreciate it greatly

Yeah, well that ain't our problem.
For anyone else who installed the forum Color Theme pack for the Modern skin, StAnGeR04's fixed version is here (also check the posts below for further updates)

Thanks to Randman for pointing this out.
Now referenced in the Troubleshooters sticky in TS forum, and there's already been a case reported in the Bugs forum... which I might also make into a sticky, depending on how many reports we get.

Winamp 5.02 crashed at first run after installing over 5.01

It was an assertion failure, in std.c i believe... impossible to see the message, cause winamp crashed immediatly.

looks like the skins were not updated properly during the installation process.....

i had to uninstall then reinstall it.

if anyone looked at my fixed theme xml and the original the problem was the original xml wasn't nested properly ... it's not a a problem within winamp ..but as far as the 5.02 installation crashes I'm limited to one miracle a year :P j/k
