Advanced Title Formatting Question

I really love this thing man...lemme tell ya.

anyway. what i really want to do is this.

Title Artist Album

with a nice size space between each one. i got that no problem, but what i can't get is for the artist and the album to line up in nice neat columns. it goes all wiggly-ziggly on me and i can't tell at a quick glance where one album ends and the next begins.

here's what i've been using.

$caps2($padcut($if2(%title%,$filepart(%filename%)),35)$padcut($if(%artist%,%artist%,unknown),20)$abbr(%album%,145))

thanks for any help. or even a message telling me what i want is impossible.

Because the font the playlist uses each character is of different size. So 20 characters of all spaces, twenty characters if 'i' and 20 characters of 'm' will be of different length because 'm' is a wider character then 'i' or a space. You need to use a monospaced font.

Preferences > Playlist
UNcheck "Use skin or language pack font"
From "Use font" select a monospaced font.
Fonts include....
Courier
Courier New
Fixedsys
Lucida Console
System
Terminal

plus there are other out there.

beautiful....well..not exactly beautiful, those fonts aren't near as purdy as the other fonts, but it's exactly what i was wanting.
