Found a bug in the new version. Prior to Syncing, I added some songs to a pre-existing playlist in Winamp. The same playlist already exists in the ipod. Unfortunately the songs were not added to the playlist in the iPod even though the songs are present in the ipod.

I also just noticed that there is an entire playlist missing from winamp which remains in the ipod. ie there are 9 playlists in the ipod but only 8 in winamp. The missing one is named "Summertime". Weird!! BTW I have no smart playlists and nothing in "on-the-go".

Bug confirmed. This only happens if the new song(s) is at the end of the playlist.

If you have a playlist on the iPod which is not winamp, it will not remove it.
This is by design. However, it has the side effect that if you remove a playlist from winamp, it will not remove it from your iPod. DO NOT PM ME WITH TECH SUPPORT QUESTIONS |

As long as it's normal behavior. I just wanted to make you aware if it wasn't supposed to happen.

No, I havn't updated that.
The bug is limited to songs added to the end of the playlist when the rest is unchanged. So for now use the workaround of modifying the middle of the playlist as well (changing the order of songs will work). I'll probably do a 1.11a version very soon, (for the winamp bundle), so it will be in that. [edit] Quote:

Thank you very much for the new plugin. It works great, so far I have not encountered any problems. The new sync windows is great and the new transfer speed is unbelivable... |

Im not really sure what smart sync really does or how it is different from copy from ipod to winamp. I read that it updates each track one way or the other based on lastplayed date, but isn't that what ipod to winamp does? |

Smart Sync looks at each individual track and decides which way to copy based on the lastplayed date.
The other two just copy all (changed) tracks in one direction only. (One for each direction). DO NOT PM ME WITH TECH SUPPORT QUESTIONS |

You can't "look" at live smart playlists. You don't see them. It just happens and it works.
At the moment I have all the code ready to write the extra database entrys for live smart playlists, and I'm half way through writing the code to convert a winamp query into an itunes query. I might finish this in time for the next version. Who knows. Also, nagging makes me want to code this less. DO NOT PM ME WITH TECH SUPPORT QUESTIONS |

I haven't nagged in some time now though.
![]() What would make you want to do it more? Anyways, I really don't mean to annoy, I'm just wondering. I know you made the program for yourself to begin with. |

i never sync, for multiple reasons... but will you include that 'file types' thing for general transfers.. for example, when i buy a cd, i usually rip it, play it, and then transfer it to my ipod by dragging the folders to my ipod, but i also use lyrix, which saves the lyrics as txt files in the same folder the music files are in.. and with an older version of ml_ipod(it seems to be fixed now) it would transfer the txt files to the ipod too... even though that seems to be fixed, it would still be nice so if i buy some songs out of the itms, i can say 'dont send m4ps, only send m4as' or whatever..
There is no reset button on life... but the graphics kick ass |

Have you tried changing the drive letter in the autodetect setting under ipod configuration?
