iTune's just not that good yet. Lacks of support for raw AAC, no WMA ( ) no mod, no midi, no APE, FLAC, no [anywaveformatyoupossiblycouldfind] no milkdrop etc. Fuck.

read this sentance over and over and tell me where it says nullsoft is finally dead, or that aol canned it?

AOL didnt sack anyone of the original cast that have left in the past year, they just left. Grave that it is, that leaves three.

Crazily, other media sources picked up this quote and ran with it. So, the bleak situation has probably just been put into fast forward. Everyone assumes aol has canned Nullsoft, thus, it'll become truth.

Not that I dont think its end game for Nullsoft, but I think its a bit preemptive to call this while people are still employed here.

I quoted that because I didn't write that. In fact neather did Mike Darrah, although he did make the "whipped the llamas ass" comment. I happen to be on the Pho list. I could ask him personally who wrote it, if it even matters... Imo I don't think it matters who leaked this, it wasn't exactly top secret.

forums/website are on AOL servers and there are no plans to shut them down for a long time

and as for the article, i personally think it's a load of crap which along with a few others is causing more issues than is truly worth, but hey i've just a laky who gives up most of his freetime to Winamp things so i'd know nothing :/

I don't think AOL agreed with Nullsoft all these years. Hope AOL closes down, and frees the trademark "WINAMP" to be further developed by the original Nullsoft crew. Why don't they follow Mozilla's footsteps and create another foundation? MILLIONS of USERS are using WINAMP. I can count and calculate, almost of them migrated from WMP.
