In theory yes, if you use an mp3 output plugin and press stop at the right moment. But even if you hit the right moment you'll lose quality.

You'll get better results with mp3DirectCut.

Read the manual (Manual.htm) and the FAQ (FAQ.htm) that came with it. Can't get much clearer than that. :/

As good as mp3DirectCut? Sure, but not for free afaik. There is other editing software that is even better but of course not free. How much are you willing to spend? For instance, I use Cool Edit (now is Adobe Audition).

I don't understand what you are saying. As I said in my post above, the "tutorial" and everything you need to know is all included in the manual (Manual.htm) and the FAQ (FAQ.htm). Did you bother to read or reference either of them?

All the help you need in the Manual or the FAQ...

interesting app. i've been wanting to get something like this for a while--it beats putting a wav into sound recorder and doing "delete after/before this point."

If they're mp3s you can use mp3directcut too.

But if you want to burn to an audio cd you can also use Audacity which can import wav, mp3 and ogg vorbis files, just make sure you export the clips as 16bit wav (other resolutions may not work with your burning software and recompressing to mp3 would hurt quality).
