Can't find the "Classic Base skin" .bmp all I see is Modern .png

The base skin is actually comprised of a number of .bmp files rather than a singular skin file. Here is a link to the Winamp classic base skin:
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=189504 However, if you're planning on making a skin, may I suggest using Jellby's Skinner Atlas instead? It's a much better template for skinning. |

If all you can see is Modern.png, then I've no idea where you've been looking, but it's definitely very much in the wrong place.
The classic skin engine is made up of many BMPs. Download this template called Skinner's Atlas, and unzip the WSZ file. Inside that are all the BMPs, as well as a README.TXT which explains what they are all for. ///too late

how do i use that template? can some one send me a full thing telling me what to do like what to make first and so on and so forth

Its called readme.txt. It comes with the template, its inside of the .wal file. rename it to .zip, and than extract the contents, and than read the readme.txt file, it tells you how to do it.
