What happened to Nicemc Winamp plugin ?

Hi,

My first time on Winamp Forums and hope to find here answers
I don't seem to be able to get anywhere else.
To get back to the topic, my first question is :

What happened to Nicemc vidplayer?
Looked pretty cool but doesn't appear in official plugin list anymore.
Downloaded it many times from the official NiceMedia site but
looked like it never was the right described thing.
No matter what the file's name it never looked like and never installed like other Winamp plugin.
Let aside it caused my computer to crash every time...
Just don't get it !!!
I would have loved to use Winamp as my unic player ( DVD playing included ).
All clear information welcome.Thanks.
To me Winamp remains Z Mediaplayer, simple clear and powerful.

Good day to all.

It was removed due to the installer being reported as shipping with spy/adware in it. This was confirmed (though in the installer it stated that this would be done for the free version) and so it was felt best for the plugin to be removed from considering a number of downloaders for it would be unlikely to read all settings in the installer and so unwittingly install the spy/adware onto their machines.
