Great work, Will.

There is still a bug with the "last played date" sync. I have found that if there is a song in my PC's ml in Winamp with a blank last played date, and that same song is present on the ipod and has been played, the date is removed on the ipod.

Shouldn't the date be synced back to the PC from the ipod?

Yeah Will - this rocks!!

Now, while you are taking a short break from developing this excellent, labour of love, how about you spend all your time working on my own personal pet feature request? ;>

Oh yes, and the laundry needs doing. And mow my lawn.

Hi Will, thanks for the work.

I finally got this point : "There is one quirk with the smart playlists; it doesn't query the iPods database, but the LM DB". I guess it means I'm never gonna be able to use a "Best of" SPL rating the songs directly from my iPod? What about the "On the go" PL too?

Thanks, keep up the good work.

Dont be mad
anyways while u work on photo thing

i have another request, there is something known as playlist verifier http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/...howtopic=11589

what it does is that *if* each folder is a playlist, it scans playlists to see if it needs to be updated after u have made changes in that dir

We can manually select folders and make em playlists, but then updating and scanning for changes would be a pain, hence the need of sumthing like this....

i cant get to download this file, tried contacting programmer but in vain

Now this is easy for u man =) (Dont be Mad)

I don't really care about album art. Unfortunatly, I have found out from the people at winamp that I cannot use their album art, so for the moment I'm going to leave it.

Talking of stuff I do care about, here is a development shot:

2 ipods at once, with the ability to drag and drop between them.

For those of you who are interested in ipod<-->ipod transfers and stuff, here is a sneak peek at the next version. It probably has bugs in it, so please let me know if you find any. It also has no dependency on drive letters any more, and the config is stored on a per-ipod basis.

Alright, done being sad. I have this wierd issue, when I do a full sync the ratings sync statusbar sometimes won't disappear. I have to completely close winamp to get rid of it, it works fine if I just do a sync ratings from the pod to winamp though.

Will,

GREAT idea for the new version!!! Excellent work. So now one can swap some songs with someone else's ipod through winamp. Do both ipods need to be installed separately using the ipod installer before using this function?

Ok, I have an iPod shuffle and I cannot transfer more than 3 songs at a time, I've read a lot and I found that there´s some issue with the way Itunes Formats the iPod and the folders it creates and the way the ML_iPod does, i've read someone said format it with the plugin. I really really don't want to do that. Is there any oher way to transfer more than 3 songs at a time? If I format my iPod can I make all the Updates of the firmware??? please inform me, thank you!

ah shit, my bad. That'll be fixed for the next version.

The problem is, mlipod expects the directorys F00 to F19 in \iPod_Control\Music\. iTunes only creates F00 to F03.

You can either go in and create these yourself, or unzip the attached file directly onto your ipod and double-click makedirs.bat on your ipod.

[edit please PLEASE don't multiple-post your question, it only makes me want to ignore it]

ratings sync

Will,

I posted this in a separate thread but didn't get any replies. Is there a problem with the ratings sync? The ratings I set on Ipod (using the scroll wheel & center button) don't get synced to winamp, nor do they show up in queries (i.e. rating => 4).

Are the ratings even supposed to work like this?

Hang on: Does Autofill for Shuffles work in this version?

I have a Shuffle but haven't really used it much. What I mean is that I just plug it in and autofill it while I'm doing something else, then listen to what it's got stored and skip anything I don't want to hear right now. What's the easiest way to mimic this usage with ml_iPod right now? I'm about to do a total re-build on my media machine and would ideally not want to install itunes afterwards.

Thanks guys!
