I did that

Hi tuckerm,

I set both to any, and still the same thing, but I'm going to go over it again just to try again.

Thanks

There are usually only two reasons you will get this error.

Either the config file does not contain

SrcIP=ANY
DestIP=ANY

Or... you are running more than one instance of the DNAS (It is already running and you run it again)

I've followed your instructions but now it says:
[main] error opening client socket! FATAL ERROR! Some other process is using this port!

So what is the problem with the client socket and how do I fix it.

You still have something using the ports you have setup for shoutcast the defualt being TCP port 8000 and 8001. If your PC is stuck with that error and you have closed everything, shutdown and reboot.

from windows or *nix boxes you can see if a port is open by doing the following from a command line prompt (Windows START > RUN > Command } get you to the command prompt

WIN:

netstat -an |find "800"

*nix
netstat -an |grep 800

The above examples should! show you if have something listening on any port starting with 800, this would of cource include 8000 and 8001 so just modify this to match what ports you have the stream on, like 8080 just change the "800" to "808" so it would see 8080 and 8081 and so on.

I hope you mean output something like this would show if up you had the port in use:

tcp4 0 0 *.8080 *.* LISTEN
tcp4 0 0 *.8081 *.* LISTEN

Above means I have something listening (running) on port 8080 and 8081 which is true my stream is running on tcp port 8080
