Stable Version?
I just bought the Winamp Pro and have installed 5.23.
I had previously used the free version 5.05 very happily without problems. The new version has crashed my machine 3 times, causing me to reboot. My machine is very stable (win2K) and this causes me to ask - Is there a more stable version of Winamp that I can run in Pro mode to avoid these crashing issues? |

Previous versions here > Winamp - OldVersion.com
Insofar as running in Pro mode (as you had indicated): CTRL+P for preferences > top of list above General Preferences, will either be 'Winamp' (if Pro features are not enabled), or 'Winamp Pro' (if enabled). If not enabled, just enter your registration info there and it will then indicate 'Winamp Pro', with high-speed burning/ripping features enabled. |

The crashes might occur due to an incompatible third party plugin. Make sure that all your plugins are up-to-date. Or try disabling the outdated ones.
