XP is a bitch

yea now that thats out of the way....
Every time I start Winamp (2.77) since I installed XP pro I get the following error:
Access error
Couldn't access giveio device. Download it from http://www.hg.pp.ru
then I press ok and winamp works fine. I tried the site and it didn't work. so this isn't a huge problem but he i wouldn't mind a fix.
Any suggestions?

No-one seems to be sure why this message appears, or what it means, or where it's coming from, but there's plenty of info/links to check out in the above thread.

I'm assuming it's something to do with a dodgy 3rd-party plugin.

found it

thanx for the link, after I started reading some of the posts there I started opening my winamp plugins in notepad and searched for giveio.
I found it in in_fm.dll. It was HomeGames FM Tuner Demo v0.2 (x86) that was causing the problem. So I removed the file and winamp started up great!
