Creative SoundCards

Which one of these two soundcards is better: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum Ex or Creative Sound Blaster Live Platinum 5.1? Please let me know.

Yup, Guillemot's Hercules cards (GameTheater XP, Muse XL, Fortissimo2) are waaaay better than Creative's SBLive/Audigy. Audigy is newer and should be better, but alas it's a load of crap, so if you've no choice but to go for one or the other, go for the Live instead.

(Guillemot Fortissimo2 / GameTheater XP / Muse XL, Turtle Beach Santa Cruz (Vidiologic Sonic Fury - in Europe), M-Audio Delta 1010 sound card, nVidia Nforce APU, Philips Acoustic Edge, Terratec DMX Xfire 1024, Yamaha SW60-XG, etc)

@DJEgg: note that SW60-XG is a (no longer manufactured afaik) MIDI-only ISA card, it doesn't play/record WAVs at all (but it's MIDI still owns all currently manufactured consumer cards, and it doesn't require any drivers / eat any IRQs/DMAs).
