I No Longer Rip Streams. How Do I Get Back In??

noticed I couldn't get a number of shoutcast stations to come up- all my favorites. So, for the first time I came to this area, read the posts, and discovered that streamripping (which I was guilty of) is a hated thing, and websites were disallowing IP addresses doing it.

I'VE CHANGED MY EVIL WAYS!!!

I deleted WINamp (including the ripping software), then reinstalled a nice clean version with no ripping whatsoever.

So...how does one get re-allowed to listen to said cool stations? Or am I now a digital leper?

(By the way...I originally downloaded the ripper from WINamp's plug in section. Honestly, I didn't know it was so horribly reviled!!)

If Winamp is showing [ICY 403 SERVICE FORBIDDEN] then you my friend are banned from their server. You can try sending the server admin for each stream you are banned from an email asking them to unban you (be sure to include your IP in the email) although they might just ignore you or if the last three digits of your IP are 128 or greater they may have a bit of trouble unbanning you due to a bug depending on the server version and OS.
