/me is an alias for the IRC (Internet Relay Chat) ACTION command. If you say '/me blahblah' in a IRC message, the message would be displayed like:

And those were only a couple of really bad examples..

edit: now a good example:
Do we understand their language? No way in hell..
Do they understand our language? Yep.. with less training than we need to understand our OWN motherlanguage, they can understand our language..

So, in my opinion, they are waay smarter than us..
