I tend to agree...

...that LSD and THC improves creativity dramatically.

Each and every time I've lent myself to such things, I find myself thinking up new rythms, lyrics and other subjects to film. It tends to bring things to mind I'd never otherwise think of.
For that, I can no longer write off people who imbibe and come up with unbelievable tales and/or ideas.

Just heard about a study being conducted to test whether LSD works for curing migraines.

"Which is worse, ignorance or indifference?"

"I don't know, and I don't care."

Pot is such a weak drug it probably doesn't matter. Might make you chill if you are uptight. That could help. Better than booze becausa that screws with your coordination.

Acid? That stuff leaves you with no baseline perception of what was cool or what wasn't. I guess a guy could accidentally come up with something cool. If you remembered it afterward. If it wasn't bullshit that you only think is cool high. If somebody gets you down from the tree you climbed because the leaves were ... so ... green... man... whoah

...and if you don't bad trip...

I knew a drummer who was better full of smack, but it killed him at 27, so I dunno about the tradeoff. Im not sure about smack helping. Maybe he just couldn't play shaking.

Always wondered what Shuggie Otis was on when he wrote Strawberry Letter 23. Not that I'm particularly proud of it, but my best college essays came after bouts of drinking.

Look as this artist's progression through an acid trip. It's very interesting.

Also some first hand experience. I was trying to draw out all my thoughts and everything I saw on paper. Oh, and the swirly thing on the right was the higher power of the universe. It's dropping the seeds of life...yeah, I thought I had the whole world figured out.

It's been said of modern Hollywood that it's a factory where people high on cocaine make movies about people high on heroin,

For some reason this thread reminds me of these pieces of work that a gal I used to run around with years ago sketched while we sat up all night at my old campsite. She was completely sober though. More available on request.
