Incorrect Line break handling of iTunes playlist

Winamp 5.581 (x85) Jul 12 2010
Clean install, LastFM Scrobbler
Language Pack: German
Skin: Only tested with Bento

OS: Windows 7 Professional (64-bit)
Locale: German
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 @ 2.4Ghz
Memory: 4GB RAM
Graphics: NVidia GeForce 7900 GS
Sound: Onboard

Problem:
When opening a .m3u playlist exported with iTunes, winamp crashes: Only the Windows dialog shows up, where is written that the program ended unexpectedly.

Method of Reproduction:
1. Export list of radio stations (in this case Electronic) from iTunes into a m3u playlist or use the attached file
2. Open the exported file with winamp
3. Winamp chrashes

Tested with following file:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/x1r04b

[Edit --> DJ Egg]
Weird. There's no proper line feed breaks (crlf) at the end of each line, it's using carriage return (cr) instead.
Bad bad iTunes :-(

Hello,

every link in the .m3u-file open an other .pls-file. I think Winamp cannot handle this...
(and you have many streams in your .m3u-file)

Greetings,

EifX: there is a comment at the end of Probot's post which says why it fails and isn't down to what you've posted as fixing the line breaks to be Windows style instead of Apple/Mac style makes it work correctly.

Yes, replacing <CR> with <CR><LF> worked, but Winamp should also handle the Linux-Style line endings.

But there is another broblem: It seems that on some streams Winamp downloads the streamed music instead of the pls. So it downloads a lot of data without continuing to the next stream. I have to press cancel and winamp continues to "import" the next stream.
There schould be also a "Cancel all" button, because I had to force close Winamp to abort the opening of the file.

i don't disagree that it should be handling the m3u you attached (which version of iTunes was used to make it?) and hopefully the playlist loading will be fixed at some point as it has been flagged as an issue to resolve.
