Drummers that suck

There was a fave drummers thread, now is the time to denounce the bad ones, the ugly ones, those who couldn't play to save their lives, the ones that literally make music the equivalent of torture.

I'll start with of course, the horrible Ringo Starr but the one I love to hate is

Bingo ! Jason Cooper, current Cure drummer. Ok, taking over Boris Williams was a hard thing to do but why Smith recruited Cooper is beyond me. This guy can sabotage any Cure song with his lousy drumming. It's so appalling it's not even funny. I simply can't watch the Trilogy DVD any more (heck, I'm now wondering how the hell I could sit through it the first time). This guy ruins EVERYTHING (no joke).

Ok I'm done. Time for you to lash out

the guy from travis. one drum beat. every song.

you can actually tell that most travis songs are travis songs, simply by listening to the drums. always the same beat.

I quite liked the percussion on this:

Raw, played with energy and skill. I have no comment on Def Leppard's subsequent releases though.

Nah!!! You've been (quite understandably) put-off by Def Leppard's later work.

Rick Allen was a drummer supreme. A drummer's drummer.

I'm a fan of almost all Def Leppard stuff. The slow, lovey dovey crap keeps me at bay though.

Me too. This turned out to be a boy-band album:

But they wrote some of the best rock music of the 80's. So.

I'd have to say Travis Barker from Blink 182. Or Yuri from MxPx.

:-P

Grant Hart. He's probably the worst drummer I've ever seen, as far as technique goes, but I haven't seen too many drummers' technique.

Meg White

But hell, with a drum set that simple, you can't really...

Hi! I joined when I saw this thread

The WORST drummer in a PRO band is -without any doubt- Jason Cooper of The Cure.

The guy is an EXCELLENT EXAMPLE of HOW A DRUMMER CAN RUIN A SONG.

Classic well known songs like Push, close to me, in between days or Just like heaven are ruined by the guy.

Boris Williams is the best drummer in Cure's history.

Thumbs down

ONE MORE vote for Jason Cooper of The Cure.

THE WORST DRUMMER EVER.

Even Lawrence Tolhurst played with more creativity, vibe, energy and attitude that this dead fish!

JASON COOPER SUCKS!
