4Music

Hey, I've seen this advertised on Channel 4 a few times and only just remembered to check it out.

It's a project set up by Channel 4 here in the UK where unsigned bands can upload there songs and get more exposed. It's really good and I've found loads of great artists out (well, 2 so far as I haven't had a thorough look around ).

Anyway, just thought that it's an interesting site which gives more credit to underground and unsigned musicians.

Thanks, I'm taking a lucky dip (as ever).

It's about time we had a 'national' unsigned bands resourse. Eventually (as I predicted back in 2001) bands won't need a contract at all, internet fame alone will butter the bread.

Yeah, well.

The internet needs a John Peel, someone who digs through all the crud to find the diamonds.

Just build a wall around your whole country and put a roof on top, but make sure it's air-tight. Then you can pollute all you want.
Don't worry, God won't let you suffocate.

I'd do it (for the sheer adventure).

Shame though, you'd need to be immortal to get through it all.

Most of the material's covered by the 'Creative Commons Licence', if you can broadcast without making an excessive profit, go ahead.

If you do make money (fat chance) you'd be expected to reward the artists.
