I've had food poisoning three times. Each time was from eating out. Two of those times was from McDonalds. In each case I threw up before it had the chance to get all the way through my system.

Well let's see...
I just finished dinner. I had crayfish, mussels, snakes, lizards, eels and so forth thrown on the fire and briefly scorched. For dessert, I dug up some small yams, and ate them with wild raspberries, lilly pillies, and some bunya nuts, along with other varied plant species. Ya know... your typical Australian aboriginal cuisine. Oh shit... Wait a minute. I was wrong. I'm not from Australia and I'm not an aborigine. I'm in New York. OK... disregard what I first said. I just had some burgers and dogs cooked outside on the BBQ, along with some potato and mac salad. It was good! ![]() ![]() Don't email or PM me concerning Winamp. I realize that this might be considered significantly contraband. I know its origin, and I can live with it --- I but it from wholesome producers:
Scallopini alla bolognese 1 lb veal top round (500g) 2 eggs 2 tablespoons butter 8 slices Prosciutto 8 slices Gruyere cheese white wine (a splash !) ½ cup of chicken broth directions Cut the veal top round into 8 slices, 1 cm thick each. (1/3 inch) Trim, flatten the slices with a smooth meat mallet, dipped in water to prevent sticking. Making continuous, decisive strokes, bring the mallet down flat on the meat, pounding from the center ******ds. In a small bowl, beat 2 eggs. Dip each slice of veal in the egg, lifting out to drain off excess. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over high heat. When butter sizzles, place veal in skillet. Cook until browned on both sides. This takes approximately 1 minute per side. To ensure proper cooking do not overcrowd the skillet. ( cooking 2-4 pieces at a time ) Transfer veal to a warm plate. Place a slice of prosciutto and a slice of Gruyere cheese on each piece. Deglaze the pan with a splash of white wine. Add ½ cup of chicken broth and reduce by half. Return the veal to the pan, cover, and cook for 1 minute, or until the cheese starts to melt. Transfer to a serving dish. Further reduce the sauce if needed, pour over the scallopini and serve. ____________________________________ Absolutely brilliant. edit ******ds = o-u-t-w-a-r-d-s |

|| || I'm eating with Razz next time. ![]() I had McDonald's Chicken McNuggets earlier tonight. Nummy Nummy. They may have made a mistake with their content, though, because I think I tasted a bit of actual chicken in one of them this time around. Yucky yucky organic food infecting my otherwise delicious synthetic grease morsels. I'm a psychosomatic sister running around without a leash. |

Unfortunately, I have to plan my trips to get food. Since we just HAD to live 15 miles outside the city limits, it costs too much to drive to Taco Bell when the Late Night Hunger Beast awakens.

I had a very, very spicy omelet burger, my own sort of creation.
You take some ground chuck, throw it in a bowl and stir in some worcestershire sauce, diced onions, jalapenos, crushed red pepper, some salt and pepper, garlic salt, and any other seasonings you might enjoy, mix it all up and make some patties. And I don't mean those little aspirin tablet burgers that I seem to find at most other cookouts all across the country, I want a big fucking burger. So you grill them up nice and good, sautee some mushrooms and get some bacon going while those are grilling and throw them on. While this is going on, you also take some eggs and whip them up ready to cook. Once the burgers are done you get a sort of egg pancake thing going on in the skillet and place the burger in the center to wrap the egg up around it and you seal it with a piece of swiss cheese. Place on a big toasted wheat bun and top with any other condiments you might desire (I recommend none) and then fucking devour. The perfect compliment, in my opinion, are some Ore Ida Zesties and a big, juicy dill pickle. Oh, it is so delicious. I recommend that you don't eat for another 24 hours (or for at least 8 hours beforehand), since the burger alone will have you loosening your belt a few notches. Spiral out, my friend. You will find your way back to yourself, we all will. I'll be waiting, and shall see you on the other side... |

Subway pissed me off. I ordered a nice footlong Italian BMT (cold cut with ham, pepperoni, salomi, and choice of cheese) loaded up with veggies for lunch today, and it wasn't until after it was made that they told me that the Italian BMT is not included on the $5 menu. I still bought it, but damn.
(in before "you cheap ass son of a bitch") Before dinner - nachos and the cheese sauce I described before - I have around a gallon of that stuff in small containers in the freezer - I just pull more out and heat it up when I run out of each one. For dinner - Boneless/skinless chicken breasts, breaded them (egg, milk, flour, spices, Parmesan, Italian bread crumbs), and deep fried them. Also on the plate - salad (pre-packaged salad mix with Wish-Bone Italian dressing), baked potato (nuked actually...), garlic bread (toss butter & garlic salt on the bread then throw it in the toaster oven) ...and water of course. And now (midnight snack) "Jadranka Krastavac" pickles that my neighbor bought me at some middle-eastern store when she was out of town. Strange tasting, but still good. She also bought some long chocolates with banana-flavored filling. Not recommended. Banana and chocolate don't play nice together. The box says "Casali Konigliche Schoko-Bananen" and none of the labels on the back are in English. Don't forget to live before you die. ![]() |

Not on the $5 menu? I thought all their subs are $5, minus the double meaters. Well, they are here anyway.

Yeah, the gal at the counter pointed at a sign up to the right of the menu items sign showing about 5-10 subs that were included on the $5 menu, but the BMT wasn't listed up there. I hadn't noticed it before ordering. I'm going back to bag-a-lunch leftovers.

i had shake and bake chicken (no not your run of the mill lame ass store bought shake and bake) the way my dad used to make it, being the awesome chef he was he'd let some bread go stale and get a bit crusty and pound it on the counter top till it was nice and crumby and then add his secret seasoning mix (can't tell, sworn to secrecy) wet the chicken breasts and broil till done, was yummy, dad still makes it better though.

Tonight's dinner:
Two really simple turkey sammiches (just bread, sliced turkey, a little mayo, and a dash of pepper) and some German-style potato salad. Nummers. |
