Wordpress or Drupal..and the Winner is??

Hi peeps. So my Husband and i do gardening part-time. We were both thinking of taking the business to an online platform. I mean, wordpress has fantastic reviews but so does drupal. I am a little confused on what way to go, i have never tried out both. It would be great to get a third party's opinion.

Wordpress is abundantly complicated and requires mysql, but so does drupal. Mysql does not scale well for traffic load and has shown to be an absolute favorite target of the darker side for nefarious things.

You should take a look at GetSimple CMS. Same principle as Wordpress - but super easy to use. Does not require Mysql ( Uses flat file data storage. ) and is very robust in features and security.

You can literally get a website up and running in minutes using GetSimple.

You raise some good points, but in terms of Wordpress, in my view, it carries the advantage that you could always try and make it faster i.e optimize it, and you also have the advantage of plugins. Would you agree with this?

Apparently the battle between Wordpress and Drupal is one that is quite common. I came across a blog post over the weekend that highlighted the differences in a really simple way. I def recommend that you check it out. I found it interesting and worthwhile.

if you are a beginner, I would recommend WordPress over Drupal, it's easier to learn and the community is WAY bigger, this means free plugins (to add features to the website), free or dirt cheap themes and way more articles available on the internet on how to create / modify / transform your website

If you have any questions on WordPress don't hesitate to hit me up I'll be glad to help you out.

Wordpress hand down.
You will be able to find MANY MANY things related to WP. Documentation, themes, plugins, code, etc. And its more Google friendly.

For online platform/e-commerce, I'll suggest you go with WordPress. WordPress is easy to manage and very much SEO friendly.

Both are stupid. Better to have the own web page.

Wordpress because it powers my blog... Easy to use and easy to put posts together when I have something to blog about.

Already 40+ pages of posts in about 5/6 years.
