How to Check and Reduce Audio playback Latency?

Usually I play music through my notebook computer, since 2011.

Those time I use WMP, and I found the Audio playback Latency is very high,

then I meet winamp, the problem became littler than before.

How to Check and Reduce Audio playback Latency?

Some thoughts, Make winamp a higher priority thread, don't use bluetooth headphones, and/or use an external dac

You can reduce buffering under preferences > playback or output plug-ins* until you get clicks or dropouts. Same with your sound driver.
Alternative output plug-ins may allow lower latency too.

*not on Windows right now so I can't check which one it is
