Game Boy not small enough for you?

The entire system is smaller than the PSP's screen. If you alost get caught with it in school, you can probably hide it in your mouth.

It's a GBA.... Backlit... Would make a Great little Replacement to My Big White GBA... or would I be better off with an SP... Hmm...

The SP is cheaper, bigger, and if you look for the ones that say "Now with an even brighter screen!" they're backlit. Also, the micro doesn't play Game Boy or Game Boy color games.
But you called your regular GBA "big" so if you're looking for pocket-size, GB Micro is the way to go. You could probably hide it in your hand and pretend to pull it out of your neice's ear. Then you could play Mario 3 on it. You'd be the coolest uncle ever.

if you want backlit, just get an sp.. for some reason they have decided to replace the old sidelit ones(for the same price) with backlights(though make sure the box says 'now with brighter backlit screen')

the micro is kinda stupid imo... though i don't have much room to talk, im probably going to get one anyway.. and one of the 'new' sps even though i have an 'old' sp, gba, and a ds.. im such a whore!

edit: nevermind, someone beat me to it

There is no reset button on life... but the graphics kick ass

Nah, you have a good point. The micro is one of those things that's "stupid and pointless, but I want one anyway." If I ever have that kind of excess money, I wanna go for the classic Famicom edition, even though because of import costs and rarity will be about $50 more than a regular micro bought here (and therefore almost twice as much as just buying an SP here)

That huge thing is pretty hilarious. I can't believe the amount of detail it has. Hard to imagine playing it though, with the buttons so spead out.

You know what would be cool? If it had a really poweful pc inside it, like an AMD Athlon 64 FX (San Diego) with 2 gigs of ram and a GeForce 7800 GTX with a keyboard and mouse instead of the big buttons and a huge plasma screen.

Oh yea and it didnt look like a big gameboy.

You know what would be cool? If PAK-9 was an old school gamer, a big nintendo fan, a really hot lesbian with huge breasts, who loves to cook and clean.
Make that two hot lesbians.
And not PAK-9.

Hmm, checked all of the pictures and i don't understand why did they make those cartridges, is it just for show or is the game data really stored there somehow?

I'm pretty sure the carts do have the games in them.

They are just for show, if you read how it's built all the game data is stored on a hard drive inside the main gameboy and run via an emulator, when you insert one of the carts it acts like a key , it presses a certain button inside the case which in turn loads the corresponding game up, remove the cart and the game turns off...

Quote:
Q: So how does it work? Is there a real GameBoy inside it?
A: The heart of the GameMan is an old P200 computer that I took apart and modified for this project. All the pieces, motherboard, power supply, hard drive, etc. are mounted inside the computer in various locations. It was actually quite a challenge to fit everything inside.

Q: What about the cartridges? How do you store the GameBoy game in it?
A: I came up with an easy way to do the cartridges. The cartridges do not contain any electronics at all. Instead they are basically large keys that when inserted into the GameMan, press a specific button for the game that is to be loaded.

Oh, ok, they're keys. I knew that they were at least connected to the game that plays.

What!!! Can't play The older Games!!! that's not cool... That would leave a couple of My favorite Travel sized RPG's out... Maybe I'll have to get an SP... Better Screen protection anyway...

Yeah, I'd go with the "brighter screen" sp, the Micro is aimed sort of at a different crowd. The gadget-collecting crowd and the iPod-because-it's-trendy crowd. And people like me, the I-buy-every-gameboy-I-see crowd.
I'll have to see about ordering one of those giant ones...

Building an arcade cabinet is a big project, but it's not ridiculous.

i just got one and has a whole bunch of "always lit" pixels and the screen is just way too small on top of it.

the micro also causes my castlevania:cotm backgrounds to get all screwy.

back to the store she goes....its a shame cause it really does feel "cool" to have.

its just a real damn shame that the one time nintendo gets the other stuff right that the things that are normally rock solid are messed up.

From what I've heard, Nintendo will probably swap that with a good one for you no problem. But yeah, the screen's always gonna be small. It's a small machine.

Now, wait, the first time you said "a whole bunch" of pixels were broken, and the second time you said "the broken pixel"...

Do I scent exaggeration? (lol)
