GET BACK IN LINE SOLDIER!!!

In truth, I shall give it a look over, but I doubt I'd buy one, I'm not in the running for a new machine right now, plus I think MS have released it too early in some vain attempt to get ahead of Sony, 12-18 months time when Sony rides out with the PS3 the 360 has every chance of being looked upon at that time as 'old technology', much in the same way the PS2 was last time around.

Besides I have no room under my TV for yet another box

Sony Employees Caught in Act
November 23, 2005 (7:04 PM EST)

By Jeff Wagoner, CF Editor

Tokyo (AP)-
As cries of Xbox 360 defects in the United States have consumed the online world in the past 48 hours since the launch, it has been discovered that Sony is apparently the fuel to the fire. Known as "Project Light Flame" it has been revealed that third-party employees of a Sony subsidiary named Koyeo are actually being paid to insight negative views upon the newly released console. Why you ask? Because Sony themselves are gearing up for a launch of their new console, the Playstation 3. More news to come as soon as it's available...
hmm it really does sound like something sony would do but it was shot down as fake.

thats right and the pc vers ( esp your pc sgt)trumps the 360 version.

As I have done with previous console generations, I will be biding my time before I buy into the next gen. Buying into the initial wave you subject your self to high prices, a sparse selection, manufacturing imperfections and most importantly uncertainty. waiting a couple years will keep a considerable amount of green in your pocket and it will give you a better perspective as to which console is best situated to give what you seek in terms of selection, features and reliability. Besides there is still life in this generation and by biding you time you can till enjoy quality games at a discount. I didn’t buy a PS one until 99 and I didn’t get a ps2 until 03 and by doing so I save hordes of cash.

gameplay of this title here is looking appealing.

From what I hear, its not their software that's causing the problem for a change.

Its their ghostbuster powerpack that's overheating and causing the thing to crash. Some got around it by puting a fan in front of it or taking it off of the floor.

Really?, wow that's soooooooo 1980's of them.

used to have the self same problem back in 1981 with my ZX81 home computer, the power pack ran so hot it used to melt holes it the floor, used to do anything to cool it down.

You'd think they might have got around that by now

XBOX360 has more issues

http://www.joystiq.com/entry/1234000500071371/

so while playing your 360 its imparitive to be as still as the dead.

all the while that redhot powerbrick dangles precariously from some lofty spot in your living room.

the xbox360 lost its sensitivity... no more pressure sensitive buttons on the new controllers .

as discussed by this tech/mod page.

"Button Performance has changed as we can see here in the windows software A is now button 1 which is on/off, the old controllers had ABXY buttons that were graduated, light press registered as a light press and hard as hard. Important for hoping to a ledge as apposed to leaping a gap. This is a fundamental change that will affect game play. Think gas pedal, graduated the harder pressed the faster you go the new buttons are no, or full throttle."

source: http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/repair...Comparison.htm

and also discussed by The head of Team Ninja ,Tomonobu Itagaki.

"Itagaki states that because the buttons on the Xbox 360 controller are not analogue, the gameplay will have to be adjusted accordingly."

source:
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/646/646951p1.html
http://teamninja.********/do/feature?cId=3144134

an unfortunate step back in design hopefully Sony doesn’t follow suit.

Supposedly Burnout: Takedown is coming out for it in either March or May.

If it does, that is officially enough reason for me to buy the system.

Well, I already have Takedown for the Xbox, and I've resolved not to buy any more games for it (to save for a 360). So I'm kind of stuck with waiting. Plus, this kind of game revolves around graphics, at least for me...
