Looking at the entire ad... I think that typo is on purpose, being the rest of the ad is pretty much gramatically and englishly incorrect.

Naw, they were using the "hip" net talk. It's plain to see thats a typo, especially since the "hip net talk" is supposed to be less letters.

yeah, i'm back.

Oh my. The bad English in that ad must be highly contagious.

But "hip net talk" was born from children who couldn't spell in the first place.

So how is "research" being mispelled so different than the other errors: "you" or "your" or the two missing punctuation marks?

(Unless there are documented rules for 12-yr-old-AOLers that say exactly what can and cannot be misspelled by them.)

I'm a psychosomatic sister running around without a leash.

Did they mean research or rearsearch...?

It is clearly a typo. The use of 'u' and 'ur' is intentional to illustrate the shorthand of teens using IMs and SMS. The shorthand is meant to be that, short, thus anytime it's used, its intention is to reduce letters used and save time typing it. Reasearch is not a word nor close to a word that would grammatically fit in the sentence, thus it's a typo.

"Welcome to the Island of people who know too much."..."Did you really think balloons would stop him?!"
See what I'm listening too.

Who cares? If they spell using those shitty 'u' abbreviations to try and appeal to the retards that use that kind of shit, I assume they know that most of the people who use those shitty abbreviations don't know how to spell 'research' in the first place.
Therefore - Moot.
