"Normalization"...is there a plug-in for it??

I might be WAY OFF here, but I think I recall a plug-in, that automatically evened out the volume levels of different mp3s.

What I mean is: Mp3 A is loud as hell, so U turn it down...MP3 B however is a ballad and still as a whisper, so U have to turn it up again....and that about 200 times on a generated playlist.

Now is it just my lousy brainstem or IS there a plug-in that does level out the loudness to one similar level??

(I hope so, cuz I dont wanna auto-EQ ALL my files manually!)

thankful for an answer,

VMANN
