Gaming is not a disease. Its a passion! (I'm not an alcoholic, I'm a drunk. Alcoholics go to AA meatings.)

Where is this flea market you are so fond of? I want to go there. It sounds like it would be better than going to Gamestop and paying outrageous prices for very old titles.

I'm Back?

Well, it's in southern Mississippi (Harrison county) at the corner of I-10 and Menge Ave. If you're ever down this way, be sure to stop by there. It's right on the south side of the interstate, so you can't miss it.

Oh, and GoC and I met up again at the mall earlier this afternoon, finally. He gave me his old NES. It's got a chip out of the side of the flip-up lid, and the case is kinda dirty, but that's no big deal. It's in perfectly playable condition, and that's what matters. I still owe him a bottle of Crown Royal, though.

1 GBA (Platinum)
1 Game Boy Color (Atomic Purple)
2 Game Boy Pockets (one Black, one Clear)
1 Game Boy (original)

Add one more to my system list... Stopped by the flea market again to at least say hi to the guy I bought all those games and systems from before. Turns out, he had two 2nd-gen SNESs there, and one of them was in almost mint condition... so you know I had to buy it from him. I also found out that he's got a 2nd-gen NES (the only friggin' one I'm missing from my collection) that he didn't bring to the market because no one will give him what he's asking for it. I asked him to hold onto it for me and that I'd be back on the 27th to buy it from him. That'll complete my collection, finally. Anyways, now I've got two 2nd-gen SNESs, and this one cost me $30. Not bad, considering that the original SNESs are still selling at the game trader stores for upwards of $65.

2 N64s (one original, one Smoke)
5 SNESs (three originals, two GenII)

1 GBA (Platinum)
1 Game Boy Color (Atomic Purple)
2 Game Boy Pockets (one Black, one Clear)

14 consoles and 8 handhelds.

Oops. Forgot to mention this when I got it a few days ago. I ended up getting another N64 about the same time I picked up that Nintendo shirt. This one's in really great shape, original color, has a RAM expansion pack in it, and came with an Ice colored controller that's in practically brand new condition. The joystick on it feels like it's never been played. And of course, it came with all the cables and the power supply. Total: Less than $36.

15 consoles and 8 handhelds.

I'm also going to be heading off to the flea market again in the morning. I've got a 2nd Gen NES waiting for me there.

[edit]
He didn't have that NES. Turns out, the supplier that was going to give it to him decided not to at the last minute. He said he'd try to get it for me sometime in the next week or so. I ended up buying a copy San Francisco Rush from him, though. Been looking everywhere for that game...

Check out what I found at the mall tonight... Stopped by GameTrader just to check out a few games, and then I saw this sitting up on the top shelf behind the counter. I pointed at it and said "Ooh!" like a little kid in a candy store. It's in great shape, with the original box, has the stand, the controller, battery pack, AC adapter with connector box, and got a copy of Mario Tennis with it. Total: $69.95 out the door. Not bad for something that's this hard to find.

I finally found one of these damn things! And it wasn't cheap, either. I ended up trading in my old Playstation (with two controllers, memory card, and power cable), three old SNES games, and a buttload of computer games that I never play... and it STILL cost me $128! I'm glad I finally found one to add to my collection, but I'm quite displeased with the price. But I knew that if I didn't get it, I'd never see one again. Anyways, it's in great shape, has both of the original "dogbone" style controllers (one shown), RF switch, psu, and a copy of Super Mario Brothers / Duck Hunt (with booklet). Btw, game collecting is expensive... so think twice before you decide to become a fanatic.

No, Jones... You'll have to wear the Donkey Kong costume. I'll have to figure out what costumes everyone else will be wearing, though. But no one is gonna get Fulgore. That one's mine.

You may have two VBs, but my collection still owns yours. This is the last update I posted in this thread, which you seem to have missed...

3 GameCubes (one Platinum, one Jet, one Jet w/ bundled Zelda disc)
3 N64s (two original, one Smoke)
5 SNESs (three originals, two GenII)
5 NESs (four originals, one GenII)
1 Virtual Boy
3 GBA-SPs (one Platinum, one Cobalt, one dual-tone Platinum/Onyx)
1 GBA (Platinum)
1 Game Boy Color (Atomic Purple)
2 Game Boy Pockets (one Black, one Clear)
1 Game Boy (original)

17 consoles and 8 portables.

I too have a toploader NES now. And I'll be getting another GBA-SP as soon as the Classic NES series is released the Monday after tomorrow. By that time, I'll have over two and a half times the amount of systems that you do. But it's all gravy. And hey, if those VBs are in good shape, I'd be willing to take one of them off your hands for a reasonable price... if you'd consider parting with one.
