Winamp Shoutcast Plugin Not Present

I installed Winamp then downloaded and installed the shoutcast broadcast plugin. When opening Winamp after installing the plugin, the DSP/Effect window should open along side the Winamp player.

Since it doesn't, I went into the preferences of Winamp and went down to the DSP/Effect section. The plugin doesn't show up there for me to manually activate it.

How do I get this to work?

firstly ensure you're using the current Winamp version + plug-in patches from my signature and then ensure you're installing the source dsp from shoutcast.com (or the current tools sticky thread).

if that doesn't help then you'd need to provide a Winamp info tool report.

Would you mind providing a link to both Winamp and the correct Shoutcast plugin that should work along with it? I'm not 100% confident I have the most recent versions.

I downloaded Winamp from Filehippo. Version 5.666 Build 3516 and then the Shoutcast plugin

Winamp + required plug-in patches is in my signature. the Source DSP is in the sticky thread i noted.

Didn't work. Plugin still isn't showing up in Winamp after installing from Shoutcast. I installed DNAS 2.4 No Monetization

then you need to run and provide as an attachement the info tool report (as i've mentioned twice before this reply if things still didn't improve).

1. Winamp 5.666 build 3516 is installed...check.

2. Update patches installed?

3. Did you also install the actual DSP plugin?

The download link for the plugin is on the same page as the DNAS server download @ http://www.shoutcast.com/BroadcastNow

If the problem persists, as DrO said, please post your Winamp Info log.
